ABOUT
Claudia is a versatile photographer & videographer with the ability to move fluidly and seamlessly between several disciplines of photography; portraiture, fashion, art & lifestyle. Her imagery is honest, sophisticated & unique.
She is currently holding a full-time position as the e-commerce manager at skoman.se but is available for smaller local assignments.
Born in Munich, Germany and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Claudia developed an appreciation for the arts at an early age. She spent her formative years surrounded by people deeply involved in the creative arts, and she was given her first camera at the tender age of nine.
Her career began as an international fashion model working with designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mügler. In addition to modelling, Claudia also signed a record deal with Swedish label, Stockholm Records, releasing two singles and touring nationwide. She also hosted her own TV show on Swedish television.
A move to New York City to attend The International Center of Photography was followed by several years of work, assisting various New York-based photographers. Claudia worked as an assistant for the legendary make-up artist turned photographer, François Nars and worked on two books with him, X-Ray and Make up your mind. Finally venturing forth as a freelance photographer in her own right, Claudia became the go-to photographer for Swedish celebrities such as Carola Häggqvist, Alexander Skarsgård and Josef Fares.
She also landed major advertising and editorial clients such as IKEA, Volkswagen, Glamour Magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine, and in addition to photographic assignments, Claudia began to explore art direction and creative direction as well.
She has been awarded The Golden Egg Award (Guldägget); Sweden’s oldest, largest and most prestigious competition for the communication industry, for best picture with advertising agency Forsman och Bodenfors, and IKEA. In 2010, Claudia successfully expanded her professional experience by co-founding claphmagazine.com
